Johann Zarco: Toprak Kalau Mau Naik Kelas Lebih Baik Ke Yamaha Saja

We wil see.(AT Speedweek / Photo : BMW)

Back to Toprak Razgatlioglu. Besides Honda, Yamaha is also being considered as a new factory – albeit only in the form of a position at Pramac Racing. However, since Yamaha makes no distinctions regarding the M1's technology, and the organization of all core tasks is centrally managed by Yamaha Racing, the second Japanese manufacturer could also meet the Superbike champion's requirements.

SPEEDWEEK.com approached LCR Honda rider Johann Zarco about Razgatlioglu's possible arrival in the MotoGP paddock and received unequivocal answers from the still-best RC213V rider. "One thing is clear: I'm personally very impressed by him. What he does as a rider is quite extraordinary. He has created a very unique, almost acrobatic style. If he comes to MotoGP, it will be exciting to see whether we learn from him – or he from MotoGP. And I don't know whether Honda and Yamaha bikes are currently the best 'learning bikes'.

The racer from Cannes continued: "I understand that he's looking for a place in a factory team – and in that case, he could take the position at Honda. Of course, for my own role, I'd prefer him to go to Yamaha. I can't say much more about that, because I'm using my energy primarily for myself and my current situation."

Both paddocks, and Toprak Razgatlioglu's fans, won't have to wait much longer. On April 12, his manager Sofuoglu confirmed to SPEEDWEEK.com: "Yamaha is interested in Toprak. But everyone also knows that Honda is very interested in him. It will be between Yamaha and Honda; Toprak has these two options. I believe very much in our project – just as I believed in our project with BMW back then. We'll know everything in the next two to four weeks."
